Australia Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (SUBCLASS 482)

For this stream of the visa, you must be sponsored to work in an occupation listed on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL).

With this visa, you can

• Travel
• Work
• Study in Australia
• Include members of the family unit in your application when you apply

This visa is a temporary visa, through which you can usually stay in Australia for 18 months.

If you here wish to stay longer, you can’t stay in Australia much longer, even with this visa mostly extended, because you can,t be given another skilled recognized visa after that at all. You will need to apply for another visa. 

The family applying for the visa must meet all the health-related requirements of all the members of those families.

During this period you cannot stay in Australia for a longer period of time, even after this visa expires, you will not be given a skilled recognition visa after that.

Subsequent entrants 

If you are re-granted this visa, a family member and any of your companions are allowed to accompany you to Australia.
