QUEBEC

Developed by the Government of Quebec and the Canadian federal government, the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) enables highly educated and trained foreign nationals to immigrate to Quebec as skilled workers and enables anyone who applies to the program Interested candidates are evaluated with a good number of factors. And applicants who score properly in this are given a Quebec Certificate of Selection (CSQ). Which the applicant can use to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

Eligibility

The exact eligibility for QSWP is determined by nine selection factors. The QSWP in QUEBEC selections are awarded according to these criteria to determine which candidates are most likely to run the system financially this time in the region.

To qualify for immigration to Canada as a Quebec-selected skilled worker, a single applicant must score at least 50 points and those applying with a spouse or common-law partner must qualify will have to get 59 marks.

The 9 Selection factors are

  • Training (Education + Area of Training)
  • Work Experience
  • Age
  • Language Proficiency
  • Quebec Connection
  • Characteristics of Spouse
  • Validated Job Offer
  • Accompanying Children
  • Financial Self-sufficiency

New Quebec immigration rules for skilled and skilled workers favor candidates who have been trained in a “preferred sector” or who have limited valid offers of employment in the province.

Requirement for French

It is possible to immigrate to Quebec without speaking French through the QSW program, but the applicant will be given enough points from the selection grid and other categories to obtain a passing score. French language proficiency is up to about 16 points here. Even if you excel in the English language, you will need to be competitive in other categories to pass….if you can’t understand or speak French.

PR Rules & Process

The entire immigration process is assessment based and now only eligible persons will be invited to settle in the province as permanent workers.

During this, in Quebec, you have to first get CSQ to get PR, and then you have to apply for it to become a permanent resident of Canada.
