New Zealand Post-study work visa

If you have met your acceptable qualifications in New Zealand and want to successfully find employment here, then this visa is perfect for you. Depending on your qualifications and where you studied, you can work with any employer for between 1 and 3 years and can do almost any type of job. 

With this visa you can:

• Live for up to 3 years in New Zealand
• work for any employer
• work in almost any job in New Zealand
• Your partner can apply for a work visa and your dependent children can study fee-free as domestic students. 

What you need to obtain this visa:

• You must have completed an acceptable qualification under the New Zealand standards
• You must apply no later than 3 months after the end of your student visa (or 6 months, if you were studying for a doctorate).
• You must have enough funds to live on while you’re in New Zealand.

If you want to travel the whole way to New Zealand, you must have valid multiple-entry travel conditions to return to New Zealand.
