New Zealand Partner Visa & Child Migration 

PARTNERS

If you apply for this visa on the basis of your relationships (such as with relatives) you and your partner must meet certain New Zealand criteria:

  • Your partnership needs to be genuine and stable.
  • You must be living with your partner.
  • You must meet health and character requirements.
  • You must have the support of your partner.
  • Your partner must be eligible to support your application.

You have must various requirements for your situation as they are different for both temporary and resident visas. 

Temporary Visas

If you fulfill both the criteria given by them correctly, then you can apply for a visa for temporary work or any other work to stay in New Zealand.

If your application is dependent on a temporary visa for your partner, your visa will only be valid for the period their visa is valid for.

 Suppose your partner is a New Zealand resident or a citizen. In that case, you can apply for a work or visitor visa for a period of 12-24 months depending on the duration of your relationship with them.

Resident Visas

If you are a relative of a New Zealand citizen or resident under the family category, you can of course also apply for a resident visa.

 

CHILDREN

 Family or your dependent children can apply for this visa to join (come and live with) you in New Zealand. The Immigration A website defines when a child is considered a full dependent.

Temporary Visa

Can you apply for a student or visitor visa at any time in the future for your Children Children of school age need a student visa to enable them to attend primary, intermediate or other schools? Children of school age can apply for a visitor visa. In this, they do not need a student visa and will not be allowed to attend the first schools within New Zealand at all.

Resident Visa

Your dependent children may also be fully included in your resident’s application as secondary applicants.

 If you are both a resident and citizen of New Zealand, your children can apply under the dependent child category. If your children are over 16 they will need to complete an English language course.
