Australia Partner Visa (Permanent) Subclass 801

Eligibility

In most circumstances, you must be the spouse (married) or de facto partner of an:

• Australian citizen
• Australian permanent resident or
• Eligible New Zealand citizen

With this visa, you can

• stay in Australia indefinitely
• work in Australia
• study in Australia
• enroll in Australia’s public healthcare scheme
• sponsor your family members to come to Australia
• travel to and from Australia for 5 years
• if eligible, attend free English language classes provided by the Adult Migrant English Program
• If eligible, apply for Australian Citizenship

How long you can stay

• On the day the visa is granted if you are in Australia
• On the day you enter Australia on this visa if you are outside Australia.

This is a permanent visa, it allows you to live in Australia for a long time. That day you become a permanent resident there.

Include family

When you apply for a combined temporary and permanent visa to Australia, you can also include your dependent children under this application. Can be included easily.

The need for the child’s health condition must be fulfilled and the children who are 16 years of age or older, health condition and the children should also be fulfilled.
