Parent Resident Visa

This visa is only for you if you want to move to New Zealand to live there with another citizen or your children. And if you are granted residency there, you will be able to live, work, and study in New Zealand for a very long time.

For this visa you must:

  • You must submit an expression of interest and be invited to apply for residence.
  • You must be sponsored by a New Zealand citizen or resident who is also your adult child.

With this visa you can:

  • Live, work, and study in New Zealand.
  • Include your partner in your residence application.

If you fulfill the visa requirements correctly, you can stay in this country for a long time, and in the end, you can easily apply for permanent residency also.

Parent and Grandparent visitor visa

This visa is for you when you are a parent or grandparent and your partner or someone you know wants to visit family in New Zealand on a number of occasions.

For this visa you must:

  • intend to visit your children or grandchildren in New Zealand.
  • have a child or grandchild who is a New Zealand citizen or resident.
  • You must be sponsored by your child or grandchild or their parents.

With this visa you can:

  • Visit your children or grandchildren in New Zealand.
  • Travel in and out of New Zealand multiple times.
  • Include your partner in your visa application.

If this visa is granted to you, you can stay for 6 months at a time through this visa, and you can stay for a maximum of 18 months in 3 years.

Parent Retirement Resident Visa

If you have an adult child who is a New Zealand citizen or resident, you can also apply to live in New Zealand on a fully permanent basis. You will need a minimum amount for this visa to stay or invest for a short period of time. When you have fully invested in New Zealand for 4 years, you qualify for full permanent residency or you become eligible to invest.

With this Visa you can:

  • Live, work, and study in New Zealand.
  • Include your partner in your visa application.
  • Apply for permanent residence after 4 years of keeping your funds invested in New Zealand.
